چکیده

Unconstrained metal powders of chromium and nickel, in combination with aluminium, were used the submerged arc welding (SAW) process to simplify weld alloying. refer non-alloyed that are not constrained tubular wire, such as fluxed-cored metal-cored wire. Aluminium powder is control oxygen potential at molten flux–weld pool interface. The results presented here show addition aluminium enhances Cr Ni yields 89% for 91% Ni, compared lower values reported pre-alloyed application. Alloying carbon steel base plate wire was achieved 6.0% Cr, 6.2% 4.5% Al, controlled 162 ppm O. Thermodynamic analysis applied investigate likely gas reactions cavity emanating from chemical interaction between Al. effects gas-based on yield discussed incorporated into our SAW reaction flow diagram. Overall productivity gains can be accomplished by using unconstrained alloy because expensive time consuming steps, manufacturing alloyed powder, now eliminated.

Mechanically assisted droplet transfer process in gas metal arc welding

Gas metal arc welding has been generally accepted as the preferred joining technique due to its advantages in high production and automated welding applications. Separate control of arc energy and arc force is an essential way to improve the welding quality and to obtain the projected metal transfer mode. One of the most eVective methods for obtaining separate control is to exert an additional ...

Metal Transfer and Arc Plasma in Gas Metal Arc Welding

This article analyzes the transient complex heat transfer and fluid flow in molten metal and arc plasma during the gas metal arc welding process. The model predicts the formation, growth, detachment, and transfer of droplets from the tip of a continuously fed electrode under the influences of several competing forces including gravity, electromagnetic force, arc pressure, plasma shear stress, a...

Modeling of Transport Phenomena in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding of Ni to 304 Stainless Steel

This study investigates transport phenomena in the weld pool (WP) of gas tungsten arc (GTA) welding of Nickel to 304 stainless steel. A finite element 3D simulation of fluid flow and heat transfer of spot welding without consumable is accomplished which leads to prediction of the weld zone shape, weld penetration and dilution of alloying elements. The model includes magneto-hydrodynamics (MHD),...

Control of pulsed gas metal arc welding

This paper presents a control system for manual pulsed Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW). This system consists of a current controller, which makes it possible to shape the current during welding, and two important components, which are the key issues discussed in this paper. These components include an arc length controller and a metal transfer controller. The arc length controller is based on a no...
